“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning, and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the City (Rev. 22:12-14 NKJV). Jesus is indeed coming soon and has rewards for everyone based on their works; and asks us to obey His commandments so that we can be with Him in Heaven. How can we please Jesus and continually do His commandments?
Rev. 3: 20 states, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (NKJV). Jesus is standing at the door of our hearts and asking us to let Him into our lives to be our Lord and personal Saviour. Once we believe in Him and accept Him, He will become part of our lives and have strong fellowship with us, influencing every aspect of our lives.
Today I don’t know where you are in your Christian journey but I’m here to tell you that Jesus loves you, and His arms are always open to welcome you onto Himself. Jesus does not wish that anyone be lost but desires for us to be saved; that is why He came to die for our sins so that if we believe in Him, we will not perish but have everlasting life. If you’ve read this and wish to be saved or have a relationship with Jesus, please say the prayer below in faith.
Prayer – Lord Jesus, I come before you just as I am. I believe that you came to die for my sins on the cross. Today I repent of all my sins. Please come into my life. I make you my Lord and Personal Saviour. Amen
If you have said this prayer, then believe that Jesus has come into your life. Always talk to Him about your problems, challenges, highs and lows in your life and He will transform your life. God richly bless you for reading.

The Bible says in Revelations 12: 11 “and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death”. Indeed, our victory lies in the blood of the Lamb and having faith in it’s significance in our lives.
Before Jesus came to the earth, the blood of sheep, cows etc was being used for sacrifice and atonement. Jesus being the ultimate sacrifice used His blood to permanently atone for our sins and give us victory over sin and death. 1Cor 15:57 states “but thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ (NLT)”. This victory also extends to all areas of our lives and should be applied by faith.
The application of faith comes via the word of our testimony. Luke 6:45 states that “a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (NKJV). This means that having faith in the power of the blood will embolden us to make positive declarations of victory when we are faced with challenges, whereas unbelief in our hearts translates to negative thoughts and utterances. Hence, to achieve victory in our challenges, we should accept and believe in our hearts that we have victory over every sickness and challenge through the blood of the Lamb and make declarations to that effect. Job 22:28 states that “you will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways” (NKJV).
Hebrews 12:24 states “to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel”. The blood of Jesus is speaking on our behalf, and through it we have victory over our enemies. Tap into the blood and believe that Jesus has given you the ultimate victory. Amen

God has allocated joy to every child of His. But the problem is maintaining this joy given to us by God. Psalm 16:11b states: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (KJV). This means that we need the presence of God in order to maintain the joy He has given to us. Furthermore, this shows that the more we move far away from Gods presence, the sadder we become.
John 16:33 states: in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (KJV). This means that Christians are predisposed to sorrow as long as we are in this world. But Christ has overcome this world, hence the closer we draw to Him; the more we shall be drawn from this world and its sorrows. Many Christians allow the devil to steal their joy by seeking joy from the world. This is certainly the wrong way to go in obtaining fulfilment.
So how do we maintain Gods presence in order to fully enjoy the joy which comes from God? Gods presence comes when we pray, study His Word and also engage in spiritual activity. Nehemiah 8:10 states do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (NIV). This means that we get weaker when we stray from Gods presence and His joy.
A very important factor which keeps Christians from joy and happiness is a lack of faith. Jesus Christ realised this and said in Matthew 6:25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes (NIV)? The verse 30 states : If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you of little faith?(NIV) We should not worry anymore after we commit our problems to God. We should just walk in faith and not by the sight of what is happening around us. At that point there will be no more sorrow in our lives, but peace and joy which comes from the Spirit of God. Gods joy is available for us; but the question is: will we embrace it?

As children grow up, they learn to hear and distinguish the voices of people around them. They are able to distinguish the voice of their parents, from their siblings and friends. John 10:27 states “my sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (NKJV). As children of God, we are supposed to be able to hear and distinguish God’s voice from the voice of the enemy. When the sheep hear the voice of their Master, they follow Him; signifying, obedience, trust and total reliance on the ability of their Master to keep them safe and lead them to the right path. So how do we distinguish God’s Voice from other voices around us? For us to be able to do this, we need to know the characteristics of the voice of God.
The Voice of God Brings Peace
When Jesus was on the boat with His disciples, there was a raging storm, which became calm as soon as Jesus spoke. Do you remember a time in your life when certain things were troubling your mind, or when it seemed you had lost hope? Do you remember a still small voice or a deep-seated peaceful feeling that everything was going to be okay so don’t worry? Yes, that was the voice of God calming the storm in your life. Psalm 85:8a states “I will hear what God the LORD will speak, For He will speak peace to His people and to His saints” (NKJV). Phil. 4:7 also states: “…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. God’s voice is always calming and peaceful but by contrast, the enemy’s voice brings worry, stress and disturbances. We should remember that God gave us the Spirit of soundness of mind, hence anything contrary is not from God.
The Voice of God is True
Ezekiel 24:14 states: “I, the Lord, have spoken it; It shall come to pass” (NKJV). God never lies and His Word is always true and comes to pass. When we are facing a storm and God lays it on our heart that all shall be well, we should believe Him and take Him at His Word. Psalm 119:160 states: “the entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever” (NKJV). We should, with child-like faith accept the Word God speaks onto us. By contrast, when the enemy speaks onto us, he utters malicious lies. John 8:44b states : “when he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (NKJV). Hence when the enemy discourages us that things will not be well we should not accept or believe him but only accept and believe in God’s Voice!
The Voice of God Convicts and Touches us to the Core
Hebrews 4:12 states: “for the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (NKJV). God’s Voice touches us deeply to the very core and convicts us to a point whereby we cannot deny the truth. There are many instances of Christians feeling deep emotion even to the point of tears when they hear the voice of God.
The Voice of God is Pure
Proverbs 30:5 states: “every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him”. God’s voice is pure without any blemish or adulteration. Hence it takes a pure heart to hear and receive fully from God. Mat. 5:8 states: “blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. In order to hear God’s voice we need to live in purity.
The Voice of God is Holy
The voice of God is Holy, always sets us upon the right path and will never lure us into evil. James 1: 13 states “let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone”. We should never associate the voice of God with anything drawing us to evil or trying to justify a sinful deed. On the contrary, God speaks to us draw into His holy and perfect will.
Let us always assess every voice we hear against the word of God, so that we can distinguish God’s voice from the voice of the enemy. In Matthew 4 when Jesus was tempted by the devil, he responded every time the devil spoke with the word of God and obtained victory. May God continually speak to us, and may we be able to distinguish His voice always. Amen

The life of man can be summed up as “a collection of decisions”. Many Christians struggle with making the right decisions in life. Some feel that the right decision is simply “making up their mind to do what they want”. Other Christians also make up their mind about things and presume that what they’ve decided is exactly what God wants them to do. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” Proverbs. 14:12(KJV). Hence the right decision is the decision which is right in the sight of God (or which pleases God or which is in line with His will for one’s life). This means that the right decision may not always seem right in the sight of man. It may not always be what you want to do.
The things of the Spirit are always in conflict with the flesh. Despite all these, God has given man the freewill to make whatever decision he or she may want; but he or she would render an account someday. That is why someone may choose not to even love God at all. Christians would be able to make the right decisions when they synchronise their will with the will of God (i.e. when the will of God becomes their will).
The Holy Spirit, who is our counsellor, is ready to give counselling, even as we make our decisions in life. When we ask the Holy Spirit to continually make His counsel available to us as Christians, He will do so for us continually. He will lay the will of God in our hearts, whenever we are making decisions, but won’t make the decision for us. He would rather draw our minds onto the right decision or the best choice for us (in the sight of God). Whether or not we take the Holy Spirit’s suggestion is up to us. The Holy Spirit suggests to us what is best to do, but the choice or final decision is up to us. Christians should ask God for the grace and strength with which to make the right decisions (i.e. decisions pleasing to Him) always. They should always have the faith that God is leading and guiding them in their decision-making.
At certain times also, certain ideas pop up into the head of the Christian. It should be noted that the mind is a strong battlefield. By using the Word of God and what He has taught you as a Christian, you should decide whether the idea is from God or the Devil. In this instance also, Christians should ask God for the grace and wisdom to go by His voice and not that of the devil.
