The Bible says in Revelations 12: 11 “and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death”. Indeed, our victory lies in the blood of the Lamb and having faith in it’s significance in our lives.
Before Jesus came to the earth, the blood of sheep, cows etc was being used for sacrifice and atonement. Jesus being the ultimate sacrifice used His blood to permanently atone for our sins and give us victory over sin and death. 1Cor 15:57 states “but thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ (NLT)”. This victory also extends to all areas of our lives and should be applied by faith.
The application of faith comes via the word of our testimony. Luke 6:45 states that “a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (NKJV). This means that having faith in the power of the blood will embolden us to make positive declarations of victory when we are faced with challenges, whereas unbelief in our hearts translates to negative thoughts and utterances. Hence, to achieve victory in our challenges, we should accept and believe in our hearts that we have victory over every sickness and challenge through the blood of the Lamb and make declarations to that effect. Job 22:28 states that “you will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways” (NKJV).
Hebrews 12:24 states “to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel”. The blood of Jesus is speaking on our behalf, and through it we have victory over our enemies. Tap into the blood and believe that Jesus has given you the ultimate victory. Amen
